
Ariel Bell
Mr. Bell, a Tampa Bay native, began his musical journey playing trumpet at Van Buren Middle School under the mentorship of Mr. Snipes, who later influenced his college path. In high school, he played tuba at Hillsborough High and was active in Revealing Truth Ministries' Mighty Marching Lions, earning top honors in All-State, All-County, and Solo & Ensemble competitions.
Awarded a $45,000 music scholarship, Mr. Bell stood out in college as the only freshman in the front tuba line, later becoming section leader and student director. He earned numerous accolades, including Best Section Leader, and excelled in the Small Intercollegiate College Band Association. He graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Music Education.
Mr. Bell returned to teach at Van Buren Middle School for two years and is now the band director at Greco Middle School. He also performs professionally at venues like Busch Gardens and serves as Assistant Band Director and Principal Arranger for the Tiger Marching Machine.
Passionate about music’s transformative power, Mr. Bell strives to create a sense of belonging for his students, helping them discover self-expression and develop skills in perseverance, leadership, and communication. He is dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact both musically and personally.
